Terms and Conditions

Version 2.0 — applicable to requests issued under this version.

    PART I: TOUR PACKAGE CONDITIONS

    1) Separation of contracts

The tour package (itinerary, accommodation, included services and guiding) is organised and sold by MotoRent Europe SRL. The motorcycle rental and handover, vehicle documentation, applicable insurance cover and security deposit form a separate contractual and operational scope, formalised at handover under the rental agreement; the supplier and lessor will be the one identified in that agreement. MotoRent Europe manages the file, contract, inspection, handover and return and the deposit through its rental team, as applicable. The card used to pay for the tour is not stored or reused as a rental deposit, nor for fines or damages: the deposit is always taken on a physical card presented at handover.

    2) Request, particular conditions and departure confirmation

The booking starts with a €500 deposit per person, for both rider and companion, which forms part of the total package price. Voluntary additional payments may be made; as a cumulative minimum, 50% of the total price must be paid 30 days before the start and 100% 7 days before. These milestones do not authorise automatic charges. Each tour and departure is also governed by its published page, availability and applicable particular conditions and contractual documentation: price, minimum and maximum number of participants, and criteria for confirming or cancelling the departure. These conditions are communicated to the traveller in writing and prevail where specific, without reducing rights granted by applicable package travel legislation. The same applies to motorcycle rental, governed by its own agreement.

    3) Traveller's withdrawal

The traveller may cancel at any time before the package starts. Up to 45 days before the start, amounts paid are refundable. From 45 days before, €500 per person is retained; from 30 days before, booking, logistics and operational costs already incurred by MotoRent Europe may also apply, in accordance with applicable law. This policy applies exclusively to the traveller's voluntary cancellation. If MotoRent Europe cancels the departure, decides not to operate it, or it is declared NO-GO because the required minimum number of participants has not been reached, the traveller will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, with no €500-per-person retention or charges or penalties for voluntary cancellation. The traveller expressly retains the right to cancel free of charge and obtain a full refund of payments made where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances significantly affect the performance of the package, on the legally applicable terms. On request, MotoRent Europe will justify the amount retained.

    4) Itinerary changes

For safety, weather or logistical reasons, insignificant changes may be introduced (route adjustments, stage order or accommodation of equivalent category). Such changes will be communicated clearly, comprehensibly and as far in advance as possible. If a change significantly affects essential features of the package or the price, MotoRent Europe will notify it stating the response deadline and the options available to the traveller under applicable law, including accepting the proposed change, accepting a substitute package if offered, or terminating the contract with the corresponding refund. No general waiver of refund applies.

    5) Rider requirements

Minimum age 25. Valid category A driving licence, valid at least beyond the tour end date. International driving permit is mandatory for this experience. Valid passport or ID document. Physical, original international credit card in the rider's name, with a limit sufficient for the guarantee pre-authorisation. All documents must be presented as originals at motorcycle handover in Italy; without them the motorcycle cannot be handed over.

PART II: MOTORCYCLE RENTAL, COVER AND GUARANTEE

Contact MotoRent for the current rental terms.

    1) Rental agreement and handover

Before the motorcycle is handed over, the customer will sign the rental agreement, which fully sets out the applicable cover, exclusions, liabilities and other terms.

    2) Security deposit by preauthorisation

The security deposit is a preauthorisation on a physical international credit card in the rider’s name. Its amount is stated in the published rental terms and is the same for Standard Touring and Freedom. It is not an automatic charge or maximum liability cap. Release follows the rental agreement and the card issuer’s timeframes.

    3) Motorent accessories and equipment

All accessories and items delivered with the motorcycle are Motorent’s property and remain the customer’s responsibility throughout the rental period. They must be returned with the motorcycle in the same condition in which they were delivered, except for normal wear arising from use. If side cases, a top case, GPS or navigation device, helmet, intercom, keys, locks, chargers or any other delivered accessory or item is lost, stolen, damaged or not returned, the customer is responsible for the actual repair or replacement cost, less any amount actually covered by the insurer or a responsible third party. The accessories and items included in each rental will be identified in the agreement and/or the motorcycle delivery check-in.

    4) Riding obligations

An approved helmet is mandatory and traffic rules must be respected. Use in competitions, rallies or off-road is expressly prohibited. Fines, tolls and ZTL access are borne by the client. The client agrees to follow the tour leader's safety instructions; reckless behaviour or behaviour endangering the group may lead to exclusion from the guided activity, without prejudice to the rights afforded to the traveller by applicable law.

    5) Health and alcohol

Consuming alcohol or substances affecting riding ability during riding hours is strictly prohibited. Consumption is only allowed once the motorcycles are parked at the accommodation. The traveller declares being in adequate physical condition to ride a large-displacement motorcycle for full days.
